Sports’ Day

Friday 30th June proved to be a day of 2 halves! The morning was bright and breezy and KS2 enjoyed skills based activities- javelin, 3 standing jumps and hockey dribble- cheered on by a lively, supportive crowd. The children then took part in competitive traditional events such as obstacle, skipping and sprinting races.

Unfortunately, KS1 found themselves bravely battling persistent showers in the afternoon. After finally taking shelter in the hall, it was reluctantly agreed that the event would have to be called off. Instead, the children competed in class time the following week – and then had to take cover from the sun!

3 cheers for the green team who were the overall winners. Mr. Jarvis presented the captains with the Sport’s Award in Celebration Assembly.
