Parent Information Contact

Sometimes parents and carers need support to deal with specific issues or someone to turn to if they are experiencing distressing times. It can be difficult to know where to get support or who to speak to so we have a Parent Information Contact (PIC) within the school. A PIC’s role is to listen to your concerns and offer information, support and advice about local services, parenting issues etc. PICs are a useful means of obtaining contact details for people and organisations that may be able to offer you help and support. Anything that you discuss with a PIC will always be treated confidentially.

Our Parent Information Contact is Cathy Phillips. Cathy is a Special Educational Needs’ Teaching Assistant who delivers Speech and Language Therapy within the school. She is also a Specialist Dyslexia Teaching Assistant.

Cathy has created an information board in the entrance foyer. The board contains leaflets that parents and carers might find useful and you are welcome to take any of these.

However, you may wish to talk to Cathy in person. She is available to talk confidentially on:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 08:50 – 09:00 and 15:00 – 15:15.

To arrange an appointment please call into the school office or telephone 01424 751404.

Cathy can also be contacted via her direct email: cathyp@westfield.e-sussex.sch.uk
